Gary Cheney
Gary has been a software developer, manager, VP of Systems, Management Consultant, Business Consultant and entrepreneur. Most of his career can be characterized as developing and/or delivering vendor software to clients.
While with Accurate Software and CheckFree Gary worked with many Bankrec and/or NXG customers. There he derived and documented the customer’s business requirements for the CheckFree Accurate NXG software implementation; designed and configured the customer’s software solution including account setup, account group setup, user setup, user group setup, extensive rule writing and writing Driver Generator feeder scripts. Gary trained NXG users on CheckFree Accurate NXG including Admin, User, Dashboard and Driver Generator. Usually working with (for) the accounting staff, Gary designed interfaces for the CheckFree product to be able to load data files from many internal and external sources (other core systems such as Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Fixed Assets, bank BAI files, etc). Gary designed custom financial reports for almost every customer. As examples:
Major Grocery Store Chain
Gary worked as the business consultant as part of a 2-person implementation team. Gary wrote specifications for hundreds of custom reports and many other custom programs to support the chain’s pharmacy claims reconciliation. He also set up accounts, account groups, users, wrote rules, tested all the custom work in a Kroger environment and trained the users. The chain reconciles millions of pharmacy claims a week and was able to reassign over 25 FTEs while increasing the number of claims paid and shortening the time to receive payment as a result of this project.
Major Service Provider
Gary worked with this client throughout the entire implementation of a project to reconcile and automate SOX compliance certification for over 16,000 balance sheet accounts for a major client of this service provider. Gary set up accounts, account groups, users, wrote rules and designed and documented custom programs. He trained the service provider’s core team to be the trainers for the first client rollout and also to be able to implement other clients. This project enabled the service provider to standardize service delivery to scores of clients.
Mid-sized Retail Chain
Gary worked with this retailer to implement reconciliation software including a custom program to create ACH files for delivery to their bank to move funds from depository accounts to the concentration account.

Gary worked with scores of Accurate Software and CheckFree clients to implement reconciliation software.
Driver Generator Scripts
Gary wrote many feeder scripts (50-100) for several different Accurate Software and CheckFree customers using Driver Generator.
Course Development and Training
Gary developed a training course including a certification test for the CheckFree Driver Generator tool. He trained many users on NXG Admin, thick-client user module, thin-client user module (Dashboard) and Driver Generator
